The first weekend in December is not normally thought of as cold enough, or snowy enough to go snowmobile racing. Here in the East, that is very often the case. So what do you do when you want to get testing your freshly rebuilt and improved Lucas Oil, Gifford Bros. Champ 440 machine? As they say “Go West Young Man”. To be more specific, Midwestern Canada. The Province of Manitoba is known for its cold temperatures and blistering winds and did not disappoint. Minus 25 and 30mph winds kept a chill in everyone the entire weekend.
After almost 30 hours of driving straight through, everyone on the team was eager to get testing Friday morning. After-all, that was why we were there. It is a points race for the WSA Pro-Ice series, but we do not plan on competing for the full series.
